Cameron is a full-time linguist and writer at Tofugu. He has a fascination with grammar, fueled by years of studying and teaching foreign language. After graduating with a BA in Japanese Studies from Cal State Long Beach, he lived in Japan for four years as a teacher, translator, and marketing copywriter. He came to Tofugu after completing a graduate degree in applied linguistics at Portland State University, in which he specialized in grammar and writing instruction. Now he writes articles and designs language learning content as part of the research team at Tofugu. Outside of work, you'll find Cameron tutoring English language learners, practicing yoga, or hanging out at one of Portland's many coffee shops or breweries.
