    Cameron is a former full-time researcher and writer for Tofugu and WaniKani. He is fascinated by how languages work, and Japanese is his longest language love affair. After studying Japanese in his native Southern California, he lived in Japan for five years, working as a teacher, translator, and writer. Cameron came to Tofugu after a graduate degree in applied linguistics from Portland State University, and wrote articles and designed language learning content as part of the research team. He is based out of Long Beach, California.
