I bet anything in Japan is better than what I see dogs here in Korea subjected to. Only small, prissy dogs are treated well here in Korea. I see most bigger dogs treated devastatingly bad. I work in a rural town adjacent to a larger city, where I live. On my daily commute, I see dozens of dogs chained to metal fencing, locked in tiny cages, and/or loose. It breaks my heart. Many are sitting or lying in their own feces, others are surely meant for human consumption. I just hate that part of Korean culture.

Yeah, it’s different in rural areas in the US too. Many people think dogs have a better life out in the country, but I think that is often not the case.

I remember when I was in Japan. There was shop near us which sold fashion for dogs and I would be so fascinated by all the things they sold there. I would love to bring my dog to Tokyo. >.<
