		<description><![CDATA[That&#039;s all fair and I agree with you, except that I don&#039;t think it was invalid on my part to call him Japan&#039;s most successful defender ever while making a point about Japan&#039;s converted midfielder problem. I was trying to briefly explain why he was an important example of Japan&#039;s glut of midfielders, not put down Nakazawa or Tulio. He is tremendously successful because a not-terrible Premier League club paid 5 million dollars to sign him, he started for them last year, and he plays for his national team (perhaps poorly, which only strengthens the point about Japan&#039;s lack of defensive talent, even if you would prefer they play a different back line).

But thanks for the conversation, I don&#039;t get to talk J League with too many folks these days.]]></description>
