This article is the best, showing not total judgement and hatred on the essence of Hello Kitty unlike many other blogs i have read. this blog took the book , opened it, read it and understood why rather than judging it by its cover. Love it! Thank You soo much!

Um…hate to do this to you but hello kitty is from something. A cartoon! When I was younger I owned several hello kitty VHS tapes. Not to say I know which came first but if all you need is a cartoon not to hate her then problem solved.

When I first saw Hello Kitty some years ago I was *sure* I’d seen it before in books at infant school in about 1975, but the Wiki article says nothing about books until the 1990s or so. At one point I wondered if I was misremembering Meg and Mog, but Mog looks nothing like Hello Kitty. Where’s that time machine?
