lol you sound like me...and I just realized that I left out of my little thing that I wish I could start a shop that sells things you can normally only find in Great Britain along with serving tea in a relaxed, working class setting. But I live in a small town in redneck Northwest Florida, so it probably wouldn't work well here.

The first thing I wanted to be that I can remember is an archaeologist (age 2, believe it or not). Then I wanted to be a professional ballet dancer, a detective, a fashion designer, an actor, a history teacher, doll designer, and now back to archaeologist again (age 29)! Always I have assumed that I would be writing and sewing on the side. What I have actually done so far: fast food, secretarial work (I hated it! Answering phones drives me crazy!), more fast food, substitute teaching, independent book store employee (the best ever!), and now stay at home mom with no chance of finishing my college degree within the next decade. There have been LOTS of periods of not being able to find work of any kind at all in there too. Definitely not at all what I was brought up to expect--everyone had me pegged as working at NASA or the New York Times or something lol. By the way, I love how many of us wanted to be detectives!

I guess I was mature enough at the time that I knew I wanted to write ABOUT characters not be one. But that's only a hobby right now. And my drawing skills are... Its just out of the question. ASTRONAUT/Space Mercenary were the only unrealistic "dream jobs" I had. I wound up being a music major thought, I guess *tengo(SP?) nose* that was the only option I had any real skill in. Unless I can volunteer for that Mars Colony project...
