Recently had a few people contact me, saying they read my “comment.” Turns out they were referring to Tofugu, so I thought I’d stop back in and give an update 2 years later :P

I passed Kanji Kentei level 1 in October of 2012. It’s funny looking at my comment, where my worst-case estimate is fall 2011 or winter 2012. By that time, I had only achieved 115/200 points. Altogether, it took a year and a half of dedicated study just to pass.

I passed KK (Kanken) 1 last year. It wasn`t that difficult as most may presume. It just needs good preparation and serious dedication.

i am about to take kanji kentei this fall.. i already passed JLPTN1 last february and now challenging to Kanken Level 2.. please wish me luck.. i can read kanji but I`m not that good at writing..
