I used Hiragana 42 and it was great! I used made up my own “Katakana 42″ to help learn the Katakana so I wonder if you’ll use some of the same mnemonics that I did

For instance:

a- “Looks like an A so it’s A”
I- “It’s an ‘e’vil ‘I’ ‘HAHA GET IT?’”
u- “Looks like an upside down U with a handle so ‘U’ can pick it ‘U’p”
ect.

My personal favorite was “Sa” because it looks like someones arm being “SAW”ed off.

It’s been going great till home-made flashcards just didn’t cut it anymore after I was done with the Kanas. The version-issue and discomfort Anki was giving me just got to me. There is so much potential in those lessons.
