Anyway, there’s a reason most people don’t try for an exhaustive list: because it’s essentially impossible. However, the actual important point, which you’ve not covered at all, is when does one category stop and another begin? What’s a small animal, and what’s a big animal? Does a (say) rolled-up piece of paper get counted with 本 or does it still fall under 枚?

And the really big question, which I’m sure is weighing on everyone’s mind: where do dinosaurs fall? And Gastornis? =P
