You are right. It’s just that I’ve never seen so many foreigners in one spot at the same time in Japan before. I’ve always lived in the boonies here, being pretty much the only foreigner around, so it was quite a rare sight.

I went to the Kawasaki festival this year too – I would not say there were more foreigners than Japanese. Maybe approaching 60/40, which is a MUCH higher percentage than the rest of Japan and therefore it SEEMS like there are more foreigners than there are Japanese. But I don’t think it was actually that out of proportion. I saw some Americans behaving quite badly, though, and decided I was Canadian for the rest of the day…

I went to a ‘penis’ festival, or fertility festival but it was one located in Kamaki City, Aichi prefecture.
Again, it was full of foreigners and i didnt know what to expect but it was really interesting and a fun day out. Although i didnt enjoy seeing so many foreigners (lol), i did meet some nice Japanese people there and enjoyed the FREE all you can drink Sake!
