Someone online once wrote that their Japanese roommate was telling him/her stories about Japanese ghosts and one was a wall ghost. They said “It’s a ghost that’s a wall. It’s really annoying because you have to always go around it.”
It’s also possible that the person was making things up, but it seems like a pretty funny ghost to me.
