As a Japanophile I’ve come across the new developments in the robot industry from watching documentaries on television. I was so relieved to find that I am not the only person scared the hell out by them. This persistence (or rather, insistence) that they resemble humans as closely as possible is just grisly.

I love Doraemon however. His saving grace is his usual repentant manner and strong sense of social justice :D.

The robot in Absolute boyfriend is the only one I would allow but all humanoid robots freak me out usually. There are some really twisted and weird looking robots on this list and I wonder what crazy mind they came from. But the Aibo is cute beyond any doubt^_^
