Tofugu Store – Now Open for Business!

open-signWe’ve been working on our store for a while now, and it’s finally got to a point where we want to share it with you! You can check it out at store.tofugu.com, and there’s also a link to the store in the menu at the top of the page.

So, what’s in the store right now?

Stickers!

Some lucky people (haiku winners, people who’ve beat us in Starcraft, Tofugu day laborers who we pay in stickers) already have these stickers with our fugu logo on it. Now they’re up for sale for anybody who wants to cover every conceivable surface with the Tofugu logo.

Not included: Koichi.

Vocab Packs!

Some of the things in our shop are even educational! (Shocking, I know!) For beginners to Japanese, we’ve got a whole bunch of vocab packs to help you learn essential Japanese verbs, nouns, and adjectives. Apparently, knowing words is important when learning a new language. Who knew?

Not included: adverbs, prepositions, and pronouns.

Admittedly, there isn’t a whole lot in the store right now. We’re taking it slow since the store is still so new, but depending on how things go, we might add new items to the store in the future.

    I can’t wait to have my very own tofugu t-shirt too! Just making t-shirts is such a hassle and ordeal :( Soon, though, soon…

    Oh, and instead of key chains, how about gold chains? I could use some tofugu bling bling.

    nah, was always there and up and such, just wanted to start really slow and make sure things worked, first. Been slowly adding more and more ways to get there, and only just now added an actual menu link.

    I don’t think we’re very good at shipping things out quickly :/ Pretty sure when we finally do t-shirts, we’ll be on some kind of “once a week” shipping schedule, haha. I hate going to the post office :(

    And yaay, I won an ultimate language pack! I never win anything. After getting a car repair bill that went from ‘maybe a couple hundred’ to ‘oops, a couple thousand’, that made my week. Thanks!

    I am excited about the Tofugu flashcards. I’m going to do my plug for Anki now
    cos I didn’t get a chance to for the contest and I am so in love with
    it. Studying Japanese kinda went on hiatus when I had a kid. Having a
    baby means doing anything for yourself occurs only while they’re asleep (my kid doesn’t sleep much) or while they are preoccupied, which usually lasts 5 minutes.  I recently got AnkiDroid for my phone and since I’ve been able to use it to study in little spurts throughout the day using my phone while nursing or during random moments where he is not requiring my attention and I can whip out the phone and go through a few cards. It’s really nice to be getting in some studying and making progress again. So thank you thank you for making ready made Anki flash cards and I appreciate that you worked to make them the “most useful and common” words. Very cool :)
