Join Koichi Live for a Free Online Lecture on Learning Japanese

EduFire has been testing out something really cool, called “one-to-many,” which allows teachers on the site to teach to up to 99 students at once. I’ve done this once (thank you to all who came to that one!) and will be doing it again, this time inviting the readers of Tofugu to try it out. It’s currently in beta stages, which means it’s free for you to join in and try it out. I want to push the system, and see what it can do!

I’ll be doing two lectures. One on Monday, and the other on Tuesday. The title is: “10 FREE Online Tools for Learning Japanese,” which means all sorts of Japanese levels will get something out of this. Both the lectures will be the same, but one is made for the American time zone, and the other for the Europeans (or Americans without jobs). The time will show up in your local time, as long as you complete your account properly. Feel free to join whichever one is more convenient for you. There’s a lot of space available in the Europe one, but only around 60 spots left in the American. If you sign up, please be sure to come, so you aren’t taking someone’s potential seat.

Ready? You can see both of my lectures on this page. Remeber, this section is in beta, so ther’ll be some glitches here and there (or, hopefully there will be no problems at all!). I look forward to meeting some of you there in (digital) person! Camera and mic not required to watch, but a decent internet connection is.

Bonus:

We’ll also do a 15 minute-ish Q&A near the end of our time, where you can ask us questions, if you want. if you come to the Monday one, Erin and Viet will be there also! For the Tuesday one, though, it’ll just be boring old Koichi :’(

Monday Q&A: Chat with Koichi, Erin, & Viet

Tuesday Q&A: Chat with boring old Koichi (and mayyybe Erin, but probably not)

You will also receive an early version of an e-book as well, which is what this lecture is based off of! It’ll be free (now and when it’s officially released), but you can get a hold of it early if you attend.

That’s it for now! I’m excited!

  • I'm scared of being on camera D:
  • How is that? Don't you have your own YouTube channel?
  • Yeah, but I only talk in one of my videos, haha.
  • You actually talk in one of them? I remember the one you made at work one day, seems like a lively helpdesk, haha

You need to be registered and signed in to your account on eduFire.com. Once you are signed into the account that you used to register for Koichi's class, go to your dashboard and there will be a link there that says "join now." Hope this helps!
  • Nelore
I'm already registered for both eduFire and the class, but I don't see anything to join. I'm going to try logging out and logging back in.
  • Nelore
Okay, logging out and then back in worked! xD
