I’ve actually been to the New York one! It was a long time ago and it was before I knew any Japanese to test upon them. It was a good time, though. Sounds like this one was more elaborate.

We went there with my 8-year old son (and 1-year old daughter). It was really really cool. The atmosphere and magic tricks were very memorable. The food presentation was also fascinating.

We ordered everything a la carte. While the food quality was excellent, the portion sizes were miniscule. Our bill was 8600 yen, and we actually left hungry.

Still, I highly recommend for the experience of a lifetime. Reservations recommended (we didn't have them).

I’ve been to the one in NYC late summer last year and it was hella fun. The food was ok – nothing spectacular, although it was presented “pretty well” (hehe, you know them ninjas, they can be pretty tricky..) I guess my group was also lucky enough to have a really “fun” ninja-host. Their magician was also amusingly good.
Check it out when you find yourselves lost in the big city.
