First comes love, then comes–oops!
Ah well, can’t get it right all the time. I’m referring, of course, to the July 17th wedding of Nozomi Tsuji, former Morning Musume (I only know her from this) and Taiyou Sugiura, of Ultraman Cosmos fame.
Interestingly enough, their marriage was a “done-it marriage” (できちゃった結婚 or デキコン); at the time of the ceremony, Tsuji (who had only just turned 20) was already more than 2 months pregnant. Mildly surprising for someone who has worn pigtails and sequined toddler clothes her entire life.
Anyway, I figured I’d post about this, seeing how some of you seem to have in interest in things MoMu. This video, conveniently subbed for those of us who are lazy (me!) or not quite fluent in Japanese, explains the situation pretty fully. It will answer most of your burning questions, the most important of which is, I’m sure: what pet names do Tsuji and Sugiura have for each other? I’ve been dying to know, at least. Oh, and, there’s a little repeat in the video. Ignore it, please.

Interesting that she consulted her talent agency. I suppose Japanese people always consult their companies about weddings and such things.

Kinda scary to think that she’s the same age as me… I cannot imagine getting married at this point in my life… *shakes head vigorously* (March 10…. one day too late for my b-day… XD that would’ve been cool to share birth dates… ;) )
